Benefits & Features

  • Supports hepatic fat metabolism
  • Reduces oxidative stress
  • Supports vascular health
  • Promotes healthy uric acid levels
  • Clinically studied BergacynFF®
Lipid Support Complex supports hepatic fat metabolism with a combination of berberine and clinically studied BergacynFF®, a patented extract blend of bergamot citrus and Cynara cardunculus. BergacynFF® supports lipid metabolism in the liver, with the added benefits of promoting healthy uric acid levels, decreasing oxidative stress and supporting vascular endothelial health.1-4 In a randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled clinical study involving 102 subjects, BergacynFF® (600 mg/day) for 12 weeks resulted in significant support for liver fat metabolism, assessed by CAP scores.2 In a randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled clinical study involving 80 subjects, BergacynFF® (600 mg/day) significantly improved serum markers of oxidative stress, with a reduction in circulating malondialdehyde (MDA) coupled with an increase in glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and superoxide disumutase (SOD) levels after 16 weeks. Supplementation also supported vascular endothelial function.4 This formula also provides berberine, an alkaloid that moderates lipid accumulation in liver cells in vitro.5-8 In preclinical models, berberine activates hepatic AMP kinase (AMPK) and sirutin 1 (SIRT1), which play important roles in supporting fat utilization in moderating fat synthesis in the liver.7, 8-10‡
