Muscle Repair+ is a studied combination of nicotinamide (vitamin B3) and pyridoxine (vitamin B6) that accelerates muscle cell repair, recovery and regeneration after exercise. Nicotinamide and pyridoxine were recently identified as bioactive nutrients that enhance the activation and differentiation of muscle stem cells, which enable skeletal muscles to adapt, grow and regenerate in response to exercise.1 The clinical efficacy of this combination was evaluated in a randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled trial of 42 healthy men between 18-50 years of age, who received the combination of niacinamide (714 mg) and pyridoxine (19 mg) or placebo for 8 days following eccentric exercise-induced muscle damage triggered by electrical stimulation. Supplementation significantly increased the proportion of actively regenerating muscle fibers relative to placebo after 8 days of daily use following exercise induced muscle damage. The supplemented group exhibited a 35% greater number of activated muscle stem cells and a 14% mean increase in muscle fiber recovery rate compared to the placebo group.2 This formula is ideal for active adults and athletes seeking support for muscle repair.‡
