About the Well Being Brand

When it comes to supplying the best supplements, we do not throw around the word quality lightly. To us it encompasses a whole range of important elements, which must all be in place and substantiated in order to reach a level of “meaningful quality”. The three basic elements of meaningful quality are: starting with ingredients that are made with carefully controlled methods and have scientific validation, controlling the supplement manufacturing process and environment, and conducting finished-product testing to ensure that our process produced the product as it was intended. Ingredients Ensure the Right Start We believe that the selection of ingredients is one of the most critical parts of producing safe and effective dietary supplements. To make useful ingredients, a select group of companies around the globe invests tremendous resources into the creation of strong scientific ingredient research. Through very intensive Research and Development (R&D) work, they identify what characteristics of an ingredient and related manufacturing processes will make the most effective product. These companies then create a scaled-up, commercial manufacturing process that matches the methods used in the R&D process to make their final product. This ensures that the product will be effective and consistently deliver on its promise to the consumer. It is these products and these companies that we choose in the development and manufacturing of our supplement line. We are proud to say that we have developed partnerships with companies making the finest dietary ingredients in the world. Many of our ingredients (over 50, in fact) are patented or trademarked and are well known and respected brands. They are a virtual “who’s who” of premium dietary ingredients and have earned the trust of the entire industry. These include: Albion chelated minerals, InterHealth ChromeMate, OptiZinc, Aller-7 & Citrimaxâ, Danisco B.E.A.R.S. probiotics, Bergstrom OptiMSM, Cargill CoroWise, Sabinsa CurcuminC3 turmeric, Kemin FloraGlo lutein, Lonza CarniPure carnitine, Indena botanical extracts, Martek Life’sDHA, Solae Supro soy protein, Innovation Labs PureWay-C and many others. In addition to patented and trademarked ingredients, we have a strong commitment to European herbal extracts because they are produced with much higher standards than typical herbal extracts. Since several European governments regulate the quality, safety and effectiveness of herbal products, using the same high standards as over-the-counter drugs in the U.S., European manufacturers must have a strong commitment to very sophisticated scientific methods and technology. This ensures that they make products with consistent quality and predictable therapeutic benefits. When an ingredient, such as Vitamin C or B-6, does not fall into the premium categories outlined above, we seek out the purest sources available. These raw materials are produced according to compendial standards and our strict specifications, which guarantee that they maintain the highest quality and purity. Manufacturing Process Controls If you start with the right ingredients you must then be sure that the manufacturing process is carefully controlled. We take a Total Quality Management approach to the entire process and see quality as an important element in: research and development, product formulation, raw material identity testing, powder blending, tablet and capsule making, coating, packaging, and even order processing and shipping. Each of these stages have specific parameters of quality that must be met and have significant oversight from our management and quality teams. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are strict internal step-by-step guides for conducting the day-to-day operations of manufacturing supplements. We have them in place for all aspects of our business. All departments follow SOPs closely and we are constantly working to improve and update them. Document and Record Controls are other elements of quality control that require meticulous record keeping. This is a history of the manufacturing process for a product and provides traceability. This ensures that all inspections, tests, processes and reviews were conducted according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. GMP Training is part of the routine process of making sure that all employees are trained and tested in GMP concepts and processes. The training ids continual and ensures that all staff members can apply GMPs to their specific areas of responsibility. Internal audits are frequently conducted to ensure that quality assurance procedures are being followed and to verify the staff and company’s adherence to SOPs and GMPs. Finished Product Testing Independent labs that have expertise in analysis of dietary supplements rigorously test our products. These tests evaluate the identity, potency and purity of each product through the most reliable analytical methods available, including: High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Spectrophotometric Analysis, and Atomic Absorption. Prior to their release, our products are tested for Tablet and Capsule Disintegration and Weight Variation using methods outlined in the United States Pharmacopeia. These testing procedures ensure that the products will beak down properly in the human body.
